how long can i keep a silver in a 60g? how big can it be until i switch it into my 180?

A silver on its own id say could be kept in a 60g for sale (if its a 4ft 60g)

Overall at dats are pretty slow growing. I would say about 2 years, give or take, or until it hits about 5-6".

quite some time. mine is only about 6" and barely growing.

^ I was wondering what you meant.

But no... an AT cannot be kept in a 60g for life. This fish averages about 16", and most 60g are 3 foot tanks with an 18 inch width. I've never heard of a 4 foot 60g, but if there was, it would probably be worst for the dat because it would have less width.

show me a 16" AT....

I meant to put 12", but I'm using my blackberry to post, and didn't notice. Though I have never actually seen a 12" AT with my own eyes. I have read that they grow to about 12". I have had my at for about a year, and it's still only 4".

i've never seen one much over 7-8"ish. i think 12" could be possible in a massive tank over a long time, but unlikely.
