Silver datnoid in 55g?

People say you can keep oscars ( 15" ) in a 55g so why would a silver dat be problem if it only gets a foot or so?

They have one at my lfs and it is with a bunch of huge oscars and tinfoil barbs, it is not getting much food. plus the tank is really small, he has been there for a veyr long time. My tank is .5" wider than normal 55g, so its 12.5" wide, 48" long and 21" tall.

I will spoil him

a silver or 3 would be fine...by the time they are 12'' you'll own a bigger tank.

Who says you can put a 15" oscar in a 55 gallon? That sounds like awful advice

Silver dats only get a foot though! I would sell it when full grown
