Where Palm Trees Grow
Ok so I bought this Silver Datnoid last week and he has not eaten since, I've tried Freeze Dried Blood Worms, Freeze Dried Krill, and some sinking Shrimp Pellets and he will rush to it and nip it once then swims away, I've put the krill in the smallest of pieces too and he just nips and swims away and then all day follows me around the tank for food :screwy: It's getting kind of stupid now and I'm thinking that he has been raised on guppies which is not good, He is about 4 inches too. I need some help guys! He is a really cool fish and I would hate to lose him since he is my first Dat.

^^^Cool. Any other suggestions, people? I really want to know the answer to this question since I'm going through the same situation with my 5 inch jade goby. I figure whatever works for his datnoid will probably work for my goby too.

Second on the market prawn shrimp ;)

I agree with the shrimp. I never had a problem getting them to eat shrimp.
I had an NGT that wasn't eating like he should, was feeding a catfish live blackworms and the NGT mowed them down. You can try those also.
Should also be big enough to stuff some pellets in the shrimp for some added nutrition.
You're trying some of the harder things to try to convert them to.

Thanks guys I'll try to get some market shrimp in the next week, Atleast I know he can go awhile without food.
Do feed him asap.. :)

I got some market shrimp yesterday and took the shell off and chopped it into little pieces and tossed it in the tank and he started acting extremely aggressive towards my entire school of silver dollars and fought them over it, And yes he stuffed himself like a pig
