I just picked up 5 new SDs today to go with my Red Hooks and standard SDs.
But the problems is I don't know what species they are. 3 of the 5 look like the following, while the other two look totally unknown to me also. Will post up photos on these later. Size is apprx. 4" (SL)

Sorry in advance for the quality, but as anyone knows they won't hold still for anything.:)

BTW...I've gotta little surprise of my own...;). You're gonna be JUST as jealous, check your PM.

Jer, not sure if the are the TS's but they are definitely not standard SDs or RHs.

dmopar, I never claimed they were anything special but as you can tell by the following photos they are not Standard SDs, RedHooks or Rooseveltis.

Just posted to get an ID.:irked:

Sorry about the help with the ID mate, can't really help you there. I hope they DO turn out to be the TS though! That would be freaking AWESOME!

The roosevelti look awesome as well! I think I am going to take my two lippincotti and sell them at the auction this weekend....I can't find any more of them! :(

i dunno then, ive heard the term congo thrown around loosely for these, and mine are roughly 3 years old and 4". im assuming that they are around their max size now. when small they looked exactly like any other regular SD, and sometimes still do, when in breeding behavior the stripes are very prominent.
i have owned ones without the "ghost stripes" and they grew to 5+" whithin a year easily, would these be standard?
my spotted is by far the smallest at 3", and is also 3-4 years old.

your post got me thinking about them, i just called em standard because thats what i first bought at the lfs, actually petsmart:banhim:
im horrible with scientific names for SD's, there seem to be so many undescribed species of these little buggers, but they deff. are not tiger stripe SD's.
does anybody have any websites that show all the diff kinds of SD's?

i know im not really helping you, but thought id share what i know which isnt much lol. perhaps congo will give you somewhere to start?
