Ok, I've always liked silver dollars ever since I was a little kid. But recently I have been changing my tank's up, to get more of a community feel in many of my bigger setups.I have several different types, and I've realized that these guys are way under rated. And can't find a sticky to clarify all of the different varietys. So let's get it started. Post pics, and whatever information you have on the species that you have. Also post behavior that you notice. All my sd's have different behaviors in different tanks.
I'm hoping many other SD heads will chime in to help varify information as well. Maybe this will turn into a sticky that we can go to and figure out exactly what kind we want to have shipped in.

Sorry for the cell phone pics.
But here is a group of 12 red hook's, from three different purchases. 5 of them were from one purchase, and have very silver bodies with very defined red hooks. the others were from two other transactions and are very similar with all of the spotting,(some orange, some green, some yellow), but the hook's aren't as vivid... I also noticed that they can control their "blushing", depending on the mood. Only a handfull do this. I wonder if it is a gender thing? The 5 smaller hooks with the vivid hooks are growing very fast, catching up to the bigger guys. I noticed some spots on one of the all silver ones, so I'm also wondering if the spots have to do with age, and maturity?
Yes there are two regular silver dollars in there that I have to catch and move, I just haven't got around to it yet.

Ok, I'm playin around with different settings on my phone. All of the sd's are so hard to get good pics of because they don't like to pause and pose.

I just tried to upload some more pics from my phone, but the mfk app on my phone is having problems right now. I'll try again later.
