My digi cam just bit the dust, so sorry no pics... but my small silver dollar has little raised black specks on its sides and a few on its tail. Some are larger than others, but they are definately raised and not part of the fish. What is it??? Fish seems healthy, eating normal , swimming normal, no rubbing on stuff etc...

I haven't found a cure listed but apparently they are a common parasite that requires multiple species hosts in it's life cycle so it does,nt spread in the tank and is also apparently harmless. Febendazole is sometimes effective but not always.
