i just noticed one of my two silver dollars chaseing my tinfoil barb and other silver dollar around my tank is this teratorial behaveir

they are getting very violent and vicous towards each other wat must i do ?

well, if you have another tank, take out the aggressive one and place him in the other tank for a few days. this might allow for him to lose his territorial dominance. after a week, place him back in the tank and see if he's a little more meek.

both silver dollars are showing territorial fighting and the barb appears to be learning this behavier from them should i add more silver dollars to keep them from fighting?

wow, you're implying that this territorial behavior has suddenly become a learned behavior from one bad apple....all of the other fish are catching on....hmmm. could be. i don't know. this is new territory for me, no pun intended.

the barb is trying to do wat the silver dollars are doing so i dont know is it normal for the barb to do wat the other fishes are doing because the barb used to peacfully school with the silver dollars and all of them peacefully schooled but i just saw this new odd behavier is the barb maybe mad at the silver dollars attacking him and he fights back becuase i found the main agressive dollar and he attacks both other fish if they are in the middle and left part of the tank

i'd incarcerate or place the 2 most aggressive fish in the same tank alone.

i just fed them and they dont show any more agression i will have to remember to feed them more often

congratulations and good luck with them.

I have larger type silver dollars and they are more aggressove and teritorial than all my barbs, I have 3 of the silver dollars and 2 have teritories and one does not so he hides behind plants and has not his own teritory, I may have to eventually find a home for him.
