I have 9 silver dollars in a 125 gallon tank, along with 2 severums, 2 nicaraguensis, 2 clown loaches and a pleco and 4 congo tetras. One of the silver dollars has a cloudy eye.I do 40% water changes once a week and all my levels are zero and my nitrate is around 25-40 usually. Is cloudy eye caused by poor water quality? Is there a risk to my other fish who appear to be doing ok, including the clown loaches, which I hear are more sensitive to
water conditions than my other fish. Should I get rid of the fish to stop possible spreading or tank contamination? Any ideas for cure?

Cloudy eyes are caused by poor water quality. Other fish shouldn't be at risk but if you try to increase your tank maintenance frequency, you can prevent it.

Cloudy eye can also be caused by a scrape or injury of the eye followed by an infection. while it is not needed to quarantine you may wish to do so and treat with a product such as Binox, or a combo of Maracyn and Maracyn 2.

Another possibility is if you had a pH drop which will cause "acid burn". Check your pH. Check the eyes for possible worms.
