at my lfs one of there tanks has about 10 or so adult size silver dollars and 2 of them are chasing eachother around and rubbing there tails together kinda and sorta 'dancing'.... are they getting ready to breed?>

Yes:) and when they do the deed you can watch each egg drop :D it's awesome :) I have a breeding pair I just need to get them into a specie tank :)

so if i go pick up this pair they will breed again later on in my tank right?

Yes But it is a good thing to do much research as getting a successful spawn is hard :)

i don't know about silver dollars, but i have read that once a mated pair of cichlids (angels, discus, cons, etc) is moved to a different tank, they can become "unpaired" simply from the stress of the move and new surroundings. something to keep in mind in case you don't get what you wanted after the fish come home.

Silver dollars don't "pair up", they spawn in groups and scatter their eggs, i'll try and get a decent vid next time my group spawn.

My group were spawning every month at one stage, they've slowed down now maybe because i added an oscar to their tank lol

Will be moving them to their own tank soon to try and spawn them again and hopefully raise some fry.

i know that members of the tetra family are group spawners, i just mentioned the pairing-up thing because the OP mentioned that only 2 fish in the group were showing breeding behaviors. just wanted to make a point that it may not continue at home once the two fish get stressed/distracted by new surroundings, etc, or at least not right away.

Here's a pic.

Notice the consistent size difference between Male and Female, also the red colouration around the males gill plate.
