Silver dollars and plants

:) don't worry it's not one of those threads.
What are there favorite plants? For eating.
Elodea? Something cheap and brutal.
Redo going down on my little 4x2x2.
Going to pack it its dollars. I love these guys.
They always end up second fiddle to somn bigger or more colourful. In this one they will be the main attraction. With a few cats and loaches down south.
What are some plants that are quick growing that they will like eating and not make them sick. Preferably floating(elodea) so I don't have to substraight plant it.

Why must they eat plants? :( The spotted ones are so cool.... I want some.

I don't know what they like or can eat safely, but both duckweed and water lettuce grow quickly and are floating plants.
 
Duckweed, keep some out side in bucket or whatever you want and they will grow like tomorrow under real sun light, the down side is winter cold would kill them though if you living in cold state. I think the SD will devour the water lettuce root and will kill the plant.
 
Mine loved Java moss clippings and romaine lettuce.
 
In the 210 I have a normal SD and a spotted pair of males that school with a Bala shark. I thought that was kinda weird until my little green terror that got left behind in the growth race with the Marakeley and Oscar and started schooling with them as well. Tries to anyway.
Do you think schooling fish can recognise other schooling fish?
Bala shark, that's another fish that doesn't get the love it deserves.
