My silver dollars have become listless over the past couple days. It started with one fish who seemed to just hang in the corner and now it seems to be 4 out of 5 of them.
Tank is 72", 150 gal.
Stock is:
5 x Silver dollars (all between 2 - 3")
3 x Blood Parrot (between 4 - 7")
5 x Rainbow Fish (all between 2" - 3")
1 x Spiny Peacock Eel 6"
1 x Sailfin pleco 6"
1 x Baby common pleco (only 2")
1 x Sun Catfish 5"
2 x Pictus Cats (3-4" )
I have done water changes but my testing kit got lost in a move and with work I haven't yet gotten another. I KNOW i need to test the water but I was hoping someone had suggestions just from experience, since these are pretty common fish. Since the weekend is coming up I WILL be getting a new text kit.
None of the other fish are acting strange. The silver dollars are still eating and they don't even hang on the bottom they just sort of stay in the corner, close to the top. Their color has not changed and they do not have clamped fins. One or two of them have small patches that look like the color has 'worn away'. Not see through but the shine is gone and it is dullish grey/white. I've read that this may be a protozoa?
Any help is appreciated.
