Silver Dollars - Java Fern ok?

I have a lot of java fern in my tank. I'm finding mixed information as far as silver dollars and whether or not my java fern would turn into a salad bar. Anyone done this either successfully or without success???

from what i have heard java fern is one plant SD's don't bother with.

When they get big enough they'll eat it. No doubt! Anything that grows goes. They'll even try your plastic plants if you have any.

I've kept Amazon swords, anubias and Java fern with my silver dollars without incident
