Last Night 2 of My SIlver Dollars developed black spots in the same spot on either side and the ends of their fins also went black. I'm assuming these two are the males as they were in competition for the attention of the only other dollar in the tank who was not displaying these markings. Surprisingly the Smaller of the two dollars spent most of the time with the female. He would get right up close side by side and start to shake. An hour or so later they had stopped this behaviour and the black markings had almost disappeared. Not sure if they actually laid any eggs as I was distracted while watching them, I'm assuming if any eggs were layed they'd be eaten by other tank mates.
