"silver doller" pacu !! lol

just a quick 'lol' story for you all today.

I went to my lfs today and found 2 (about 7in) Pacu's for sale, when i asked how much each thay were i was told that the "silver Dollers" were £25 !!!

lol. my thought is that if someone had not known and walked out the shop thinking thay had 2 silver dollers to go in there nice 4ft tank and 6 months later end up with a dust-bin lid swimming around in the lounge, never mind !!! well thats one way of getting people into big fish.

i have to say the guy in the shop was ok with this being pointed out and very sorry for his mistake, no harm done!!!

my wife picked up 3 1" silver dollars from an lfs, right now, 2 are 3" and the other is 10"!! ha ha, that aint no siver dollar, damn pacu

LOL, sorry i should not joke.

i wonder how many other people have what thay think are silver dollers but what thay have really got is (bin lids) pacu.

well crap i THINK i have a silver dollar... He came from my fiances parents when they gave us their 100 gallon.. how do you tell the difference?? He is 6"

If he grows one inch or more per month it is probably a pacu, if it has stoped growing it is probably a silver dollar.
