Silver not opening mouth

So as the title says, throughing prawn into the tank tonight and my oldest silver, couple of years now, seemed to just nudge the prawn like he wanted to eat it but couldn't open his mouth, managed to get a couple but not by opening his mouth really.
Is he just arsing about or is this a known problem?

does it look like he is struggling to open his mouth? it might be he just isnt hungry or not interested in what you are feeding.

my 4" aro once denied a nice chunk of fresh prawns and shrimp that night.
i even flushed both pieces in fresh drinking water before dangling it in front of her.

Hard to say, I mean he is lunging at the prawns but because he doesn't open his mouth it just gets pushed about, weird, anyway I'll keep an eye on this over the next few days. I know if he is hungry he will eat, unless something is stopping him.
