I have a silver that only eats krill and has been eating it the past month. he's doing well but I've tried giving him cichlid gold...he spits it out! is there anything else i can feed him besides krill
I feed mine regular uncooked shrimp , crickets, aro sticks, pinkies, night crawlers, mill worms at first he might not take it but don't give up he'll
eat
Aros CAN be a bit picky...I know ours takes crickets at any time and market shrimp but she has to get used to almost everything else. Try skipping a day before introducing new food. Once you have them used to one new food then add another. Eventually they will take almost anything you put in the tank.
My aro will eat most anything that hits the water. But when I have a picky fish I starve them 2-3 days before giving them a new food. Survival will set in long before starvation.
I've been trying to get my Jar onto pellets and just wont take them.. I was feeding my fish jumbo cichlid sticks by tetra that I break in half... My jar went an entire week with out eating... and my oscar just keeps gorging so I gorged my jar with meal worms today and I will try a few more days with nothing but these pellets... She wont even take krill with either... just takes them into his/her mouth (if I'm lucky) and then spits them out(same thing s/he does with pellets, again if i'm lucky)... my oscar and my tsn x rtc love them... Only thing she's ate are meal worms crickets and earth worms(I refuse to feed feeders.)
