i dont remember him having a hunchback yesterday but he seems ok. the hump is right behind his head and looks a little worse in person than in the pics. he has never jumped out of the water so i doubt its from hitting the top of the tank. but he is really agro so maybe its from a squabble.

I'm not sure if thats a hunch it could just be a fat buildup.

upon closer inspection the area looks swollen which is pushing the edges of his scales out, and he seems stiff in that area when he moves. i hope its not a broken spine

turns out it is from jumping, my wife saw him jump today and smack the tank top right where its swollen.when he smacked it he shook it off and went on with his day.
