hi, i was wondering how many silvers could be house together ? would 2 be fine and i have a jar right now and i was wondering at what size would it start eating mice. thank you

Mice are not a very good diet for aros and two is probubly the worst number you can come up with. The general rule of thumb with aros is either one or many. Once they reach the 12 to 14 inch mark even the many rule becomes problimatic as some aros simpley dont tolerate others of thier kind no mater what you do. I have no doubt that you'll hear about a lot of exceptions to this rule in replys but IMO it's not worth the risk.

Tank size?
You might want to ask how big the Jar gets before he starts whooping everything. They get pretty aggressive with size:)\

Tank size is very important, and I agree that 2 is not a good number to start with. It can be done, but isn't a commons thing by any means.

if you go huge, like really huge which for this you would have to, but none of us are likely to advise it....

I won't encourage you to go into keeping just 3 pieces in there for firstly do you have planning of where and how big of a tank are you keping them. Secondly, even when they're small, they will start fighting in the tank unless you got enough to crowd them together. trust me for even you are keeping alot and they're just merely 5 inches, they're already killing each one another in the same tank. But I won't say it's impossible to just keep 3 of them in there, you never try you never know. Just got to be very observant and prepare to remove any injuried pieces in there.
