Silversides

I've been feeding my Ornate giant meal worms. Its ALL he would eat. So i went to the LFS and they had frozen Silversides. I thaw one out and give it to him on a skewer. He grabs it and seems to swallow it whole.

Anyone else ever given them silversides? He's a shy eater. He's still fairly new. He wont eat pellets or go after live food. But he will take giant meal worms and silversides of a skewer.

I put a drop of Vita-Chem in the silverside's mouth before i give it to him so he gets a little added nutrition.

I feed mine silversides although never tried the skewer thing. Also try some shrimp or prawns and smelts.

i feed my bichirs silversides too among other things....they love it.

Yup silversides are a regular part of my gangs diet.

I have never tried them but I guess I should. Squid stinks, maybe it will like that.

Ive never tried them for my Endi, I may have to, Ive been feeding mine Tilapia Fillet strips bout 1.5" x .25" an frozen krill with the occasional big nightcrawler.

save yourself some money and go to local Asian market and buy frozen smelt. Same as silversides, but its $1.49 a pound instead of $10 for a little pack.
