Hello All,

First time poster long time reader.

I just bought a nice Aussiewanna about 6 inches in size. My only question is what to feed it. I know he eats guppies but was wondering if there is anything else he would like?

Right now he is in a tank with 2 Albino Tiger Oscars and a Clown Knife, Firemouth, and 2 Bichers(Ornate and a rarer kind i cant think of name)

I really dont want to get into Tub. Worms if i dont have to.

Thanks

Thanks again.

I think I will go pick some up today. I just dont want to have to feed them guppies all the time. Also want something the others would eat.

I just got back from the fish store.

bought guppies(sure chance he'll eat)

But I also got frozen Cubed Krill, Bloodworms, and Brine.

I tried Krill first and he loved it so SCORE...haha

Ill get pics up later. I want to move them out of my 30gal and into my 125gal.

First just need to get the African Chiclids out of there..haha

btw, is it jar or lei?

both jardinis and leichardtis are australian arowana species. Post pics for us to ID it for you.

As a diet, you want it's staple food to be pellets or food sticks. These are the healthiest for them, and most complete nutritionally. You should also supplement with meaty foods such as beefheart, market shrimp (without the head), strips of fish fillet, scallops, cockles, etc. For maximum growth.

Gday,i used to feed my jar bloodworms and prawns and the occasional large feeder to keep him on his toes.
