Hello,
I have recently gotten into monster fish keeping and was wondering how big of a tank would I need to house a Black Arowana from fry to half size. My other question is what type of filter would be best for minimal flow and are blood worms a good food for young Black Arowana. Also what substrate do you use.

Thanks,
John

To half size? Why keep it if you don't plan to grow it all the way out.. but I guess a 180 would do. Filtration, just go with a fx5 or 6 if you can. Unless you're into sumps you can make one of those. You can feed blood worms but you're probably better off feeding floating pellets. Substrate doesn't matter as they stay at the top so use what you prefer. If sand keep in mind it can go into the filter and cause damage.
