A lot of leaf littler was cloudinng up my outdoor tanks lately, so I needed to suck up detritus buildup.
There are no pet stores, much less aquarium shops on the island where I live.
So to get something like siphon, I need to cross 10 miles of ocean, get a cab or Uber to the city,
With the round trip ferry ride, and car fare, probably over $20 just in transportation alone, and a couple hours time (I´d rather be collecting in the river with pants down).
So I made this one out of a Peroxide bottle with the bottom cut off, and a 1" inner diameter rubber 5 ft length tube.
After being heated a little, the tube easily (sort of) screwed on to the threads on the top of the Peroxide bottle,
took about 5 minutes to make.
It actually works well.
