simple DIY question about cutting PVC pipes

hey i was wondering how to cut pvc with out making ridged/sharp edges? i need to make a heater cover to keep my motoro safe.

k, what about drilling holes in it, should i just do it with a normal drill bit and the file/sand?

That's what I do. I use a round file for filing the holes.

I always just used my pocket knife or a razor knife to scrape the saw-burrs off.

I found a countersink bit works well on the holes.
