cruising these forums has made me want another reptile. i have a little experience in the area and have kept an iguana and bearded dragon in the past.

unfortunately, my wife killed the bearded by accident :( and i willingly donated the large male ig to an educational program because i wasnt able to spend the time i needed and he was getting too aggressive.

obviously, ive since then gotten more into the aquatic side of things, and spend quite a bit of time caring for my puffer.

im just curious if anyone has a suggestion of a more simple herp, or if i should just forget about it and continue to adore you guys' pics?

of course the first thing that comes to mind is to get another bearded, but i thought id ask for any opinions.

looking for something with personality and that can be handled fairly easily. i know we have some knowledgable folks here and any help is appreciated.

i like all of them :)

would love to have a snake, but dont know if i could properly house one.

id prefer something can live its entire life comfortably in a smaller area. i am willing to build a pen or cage, but would like the cage to be smaller than 4ft square.

Beardeds would be fine in that... are you planning to keep this outdoors or indoors?

beardies would be cool in that sized enclosure and are a very good pet, i have one. your decision all depends on what you want as far as what kind of animal. as far a some good starters for the enclosure you mentioned how about chameleons? they are very good with kids don't know if you have any.

I don't really reccomend chameleons for a beginner.

Welcome back to the cold blooded side anyway dude ;)

Beardies
Leo's
Rankins
Crested Geckos

are all very good begginer reps, simple care - as simple as can get!

There are plenty of snakes you could house in that side vivarium more than comfortably, its best to wait until you see something that jus catches your eye though! And if you can't house that, go for something similar.

Good luck!

chameleons are in my opinion not a hard to keep rep. misting and vitamins is all there really is to it. i used to do a veiled breeding thing and it was easy.
