Wanted a change in the 180 and this is what i came up with.

Tell me what you think, and if you have any ideas feel free to express them.

Ps. Pay no attention to the mess under and around the tank :D I live alone, so i have no one to tell me to clean up my mess, haha.

wow, loving it. except that the oyama black backing kinda makes it dull no? i think for this you should try it without the oyama backing. should look brighter and livlier. just an opinion, hahah great tank nonetheless! :)

Thanks for the comment.

For a long time i had it without any background, so you could see right through it to the other side of the room. But the problem with this is, i had to hide all the cables at the one side facing the wall, and that left me with bad flow through the filters. In other words, dead spots were all over the other half of the tank.
With a background on, i can have tubing and cables going in and out of the tank anywhere i want, without it being seen.
I have tried with several really powerfull stream pumps and powerheads to create the proper flow, but there would still be an undesirable dead spot near the bottom of the right hand side of the tank.

I like it, it looks very natural and I think the black background adds great contrast behind the fish and makes them stand out more against it. The less is more concept at it's finest IMO.

PS. Clean up your mess! There I said it......lol.

love it! looks pretty natural. don't remove the black background!!!!

what's your substrate mix? I've been considering mixing my PFS with something else to make it look more natural but I have no idea what.

Love the simplistic natural look, and your stock is stunning! Great work :headbang2
