I'm breeding convicts in a twenty gallon, and my female is getting a bit beat up. I have a tank divider, but I think I'd rather just place the male convict in my 40 breeder with Senegal and leopard ctenopoma. Is this ok, so long as it's the only convict in the tank? Senegal and leopard ctenopoma are still pretty small, and I think the convict has actually grown much faster than the senegal, even though I bought the convict much later.
So I'm primarily concerned about the senegal and leopard ctenopoma getting bullied by the convict, which is a little bigger.
