Is it possible to have a single red belly piranha with a silver aro, TSN, RTC, clown knife fish and ornate bichir? Ive heard that piranhas are not aggressive when they are alone. Or is it better in my oscars only tank? Thank you.

no, the rbp will kill anything less aggresive than itself, the best tankmate would be more red bellies.

I would think a Silver Arowana, RTC, TSN, Clown Knife would work... especially if those fish are bigger. Not sure about the bichir though. I wouldn't put him in a Oscar tank as any lip locking could cut the oscar bad. RBP aren't that aggressive.

Those were my same thoughts about the bichir, not sure if he would be an easy meal, he's 4 inches lol.. all others are 5 inches.. the red belly at my LFS is around 3 inches..

I wouldn't house a single RBP with other fishes with that size, he is likely to nipping on their fins. I would say forget it and leave it at LFS.

yeah maybe i should let go the thought of having one, i already had to put an extra tank for my oscars as they were nipping my aro's fins.

Rbp is best to keep in school of 5+ fishes..everything less could lead to aggressive behaviour toward each other..a single specie could become apathic (i dont know if this is the right term)..well lifeless :) so its best for you to avoid :)
