My smaller Sinibotia loach was eattened by my Oscar. I was thinking of picking up another sinibotia and plumping it up in my 10 gallon tank before add it in the 55 gallon. Anyone know how fast these loaches grow?

Which Sinibotia did you have? How big is your oscar? How big was the last Sinibotia? If your oscar already ate one, I would advise against getting another loach and then end up having it eaten. Be very careful with your decisions. A lot of loaches have sub ocular spines under each eye and your oscar may sooner or later, choke itself to death as a result.

Botia Robusta, it was about 3 inch but it was really thin, and I think it was sick since I just got it from the pet store and never saw it swimming around. The oscar is about 5 inches. The other loach is about the same size but it’s bulkier and swims much faster than its other. The oscar doesn't even bother with the other. Will the single loach be alright with out a companion?

I'd never keep a single Loach of any kind. And I can't see them not getting eaten in a 55 g tank with the Oscar. That tank really isn't going to be big enough for the Oscar when he's grown. Loaches grown slow and Oscars grow super fast.
