I've had this fish since it was about the size of a quarter and now it is pushing eight inches just a few months later. It was showing off it's colors and markings after I did a water change so I thought I'd take a few shots.

Looking good Rich. My last one did well for months then dropped dead with no rhyme or reason. I’ve quietly been looking for another ever since.

Sorry to hear but good to hear from you Mike.I had one a few years ago that grew very well until I gave it some raw smelt.....after that it's health just seemed to deteriorate and it eventually died.

Nice. How big now? Is this guy a cold water fish?

Thanks,it's about ten inches and yes it is a coldwater fish. They seem to tolerate a wide range of temperatures and most people keep them in tropical set-ups.I have kept previous chuatsi in warmer water but I've discovered that this one does not do very well in such water.
Here is eating floating pellets, right after it's had the tilapia.
