I have a 2nd generation (their parents bred in my tank) flowerhorn pair breed in my community tank. They have cleared a portion of the tank by pushing off the gravel and making a bare bottomed part and have laid eggs there. During their parents' time I used a flat rock and eventually I got that out of the main tank and reared the fry myself. Now since this time there wasn't any rock and the eggs are on the floor, I was thinking whether I should try and siphon the eggs out now or wait for them to become wrigglers and then do it. Also I don't know if the eggs can be siphoned or not as I presume they are sticky....
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Here's a link to their parents' breeding thread.... You can see the current pair here too: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?399910-Golden-based-FH-pair-breeding

You shouldn't siphon the eggs, I do it all the time once they are free swimming, but i think you would be ok with wigglers

Thanks bro! I think I'll wait till the wrigglers hatch. Free swimmers would be better, but I'm not sure how long the parents can fend off the other tank members with free swimming fry....
