just in case anyone didn't know, David Attenborough is making his last piece, Life in Cold Blood dedicated to our beloved reptiles and amphibs.

i only just found this out so just a heads up to others. however you'll have a wait, wont be finished to 2008. i have been waiting for this one since the beginning. he'll be 82 when its done. i have the planet earth series, the whole life series (8 so far) and the blue planet, and i can recommend all of them. he is the man:headbang2

I love Attenborough, he's got the best job in the world. Do you know when they'll be airing it in the uk

Who is this guy? Never heard of him. Maybe I know him to see his face.

umm click on the link. one of the most famous naturalists ever, certainly currently

David Attenborough is THE man when it comes to Nature. I grew up watching his documentaries on the telly when our country decided to inject a little nature time into our channels. I remember hogging the set, refusing to let anyone change the channels when his programs were on.

With such a unique voice, I only have to hear him speak a few words to know i have found the right channel to watch. He is the only man who has made a show about plants so interesting. He also made BBC TV to what it is today, he was there when TV first came about, he is, and always will be, a real legend.

I take my hat off to the man for attempting one last documentary, to beloved reptiles no less. I hope he does get to finish it so the world may marvel once more at the brilliance of one man showcasing God's creatures.

The world will cry a bigger loss than they did Steve Irwin when Sir Attenborough passes away, because i know i will be one of them too...

Sir David Frederick Attenborough, OM, CH, CVO, CBE, FRS (born on May 8, 1926 in London, England) is one of the world's best known broadcasters and naturalists. Widely considered one of the pioneers of the nature documentary, he has written and presented eight major series (with a ninth in production) surveying nearly every aspect of life on Earth. He is also a former senior manager at the BBC, having served as controller of BBC2 and director of programming for BBC Television in the 1960s and 1970s.

He is the younger brother of director and actor Richard Attenborough.
