Ok I have a 125 gallon tank with 3 oscars. Their sizes range from about 6-9 inches. I was wondering if it would be possible to be a siren in the tank, and if so, what type? I am not that worried about tank size, I will upgrade if needed.

I am more interested if anyone has ever kept sirens with larger fish and how that worked out? Will the oscars attack the siren or vice versa? I hear they have a heck of a bite so I suppose one could defend himself against 3 oscars but I don't want him to kill the oscars either.

Any additional info about sirens would be helpful! I am a fish person, I have very little experience with reptiles/amphibians.

Thanks!

It won't work, I tried it with a large greater siren and it ended badly. The siren was stressed, not eating, and being picked on by the other fish (including an oscar). it lost a few inches from his tail and then died unfortunately. Give it its own space and I am sure it will do better.

Probably a bad idea, as mentioned above, they get picked on my fish and also prefer much cooler temps.

Alright :( well I guess that's out of the question. Any other ideas for a repile/amphibian that I could put in the tank that would be alright?

I have seen people have success with large mud or musk turtles. Maybe a Razorback musk could work. just throw in lot of plants for him to climb on and something for him to get out of the water and dry off on.

Yeah certain turtles may be okay.
