i have decided to house the following together:

*6inch endli
*7inch LF senegal
*4.5inch endli
*3.5inch LF senegal

my main concern is the 6inch endli with the 3.5inch sen... the sen is a little skinny...

the 1st three polys listed have been living together for the last month or so with no probs...

Will polys cannibalize at this size? Should i most def remove the 3.5incher sen from this tank? o do you think it should be ok? have you had a poly eat another??

cheers,
e.

the sens will be eaten eventually. (well, the endlis will be ABLE to eat them before long). when my ornate was 8", it ate a 3-4" sen

you might get lucky, but not likely

hehe, moved him str8 away!!

i had been monitoring them for the last 2hrs, and the more i looked at the two, the more he looked like a bite sized treat...lol :(

cheers for the advice guys!

btw, pwmin... how long did it take befoe the ornate ate him? was it the 1st day...a week later etc...?
it was probalby 3-4 days. all the time i watched the tank, the ornate never even looked at the sen. then, the next day, he's got a full belly and no more sen in the tank

Heres the problem big fish tend to eat smaller fish.Right now all your fish are young and fairly small, however this will change your endi's should be at least double the size of the senegals. As fish mature they can become more agressive and territorial. While a senegal
can't do much damage to a decent size endi,a fair size endi can dispatch a senegal
easily if the endi becomes agressive. This is the main reason I don't recomend keeping large lower jaws with smaller upper jaw species-Anne
