size diff?

how much of a size diff could a male overcome to breed a female?

My male was 2-3" smaller than the female and he didn't have any problem mating.

Im pretty sure its as big as he needs to. If i remember correctly, someone here had a 15" female and a 8" male. After a couple tries, the male got the hang of it and was able to mate with the female.

that gives me more hope for a successfull hybrid...how long are the claspers needed to be to tell maturity?

im changing out substrate this week i will get one out and get a ruler and let you know the measurement. you can tell when they are ready the claspers get big and defined.

i await your measurment, mine has grown over an inch in disc width(just under 4" to 5 1/4" now)...

i know it is not neer mature yet, but his claspers are more noticable out the back...

Clasper length can be misleading. The most accurate way to tell is to see if the claspers are rolled yet. If they are not mature, they look like round stubby things. When they mature, it looks like a rolled up burito like thing with a tunnel in the middle.

Wrong. As thick as it gets, if its not curled, its not mature. The same goes, no matter how thin, once its curled, its mature.
