Size difference between cichla in tank?

Hey guys I have 2 tanks going with peacock bass the grow out tank currently has a bully and im considering putting him in the main tank. The bass in the main tank are about 12 inches and he is about 6. Do you think he will be eaten?

I would say 6" is a little too small. Especially considering shape (long narrow). Bass could get excited and try to eat him.
