Size difference

Will size make a difference when combining piranhas? For example will a 5.5 inch RBP eat the 2.5 RBP piranhas if they was combined in one 300 gallon tank? There are 8 big and 8 smaller piranhas that I would like to combine.

Generally speaking yes but not always. Most of the time the larger ones will not accept new tank mates regardless of specie, they see all new fish to be food rather then friend but I have heard of some ppl having success with this but very rarely. My advice to you is if you do decide to do so be prepared for what will most likely happen.

try moving the decorations around once you put in the little one so they won't concentrate on the new additions heck you can even do a water change so while you're vacuuming the gravel it will divert their attention to you.
