Is there someone out there who has experience with aethiopicus aethiopicus, aethiopicus congicus and aethiopicus mesmaekersi.
Is it true that the latter(s) only reach half the size of the aethiopicus aethiopicus, and is there a way to tell wich variant the LFS got in stock?:help2:

By the way, I´m new here (first post) and yes.......this might actually be Heaven

Hi welcome,

I have got on of the above don't know wich one (see avatar)
But it is true that the Aethiopicus aethiopicus will get twice as big as the other 2.
If you like to see some exsamples of a congicus please check the pictures solomon posted (e americanus). (this one is the most common lung species)

just to clarify, the aethiopicus congicus is the most common subspecies of the aethiopicus species group (or so it seems relative to the hobby).

every now and then we do see some pics of what looks like aethiopicus aethiopicus, but they are usually from outside the US where lungfishes are more popular and probably more frequently imported--
