Hello :)

Just wondering, what size could hit the monster if it would be the only fish in
80"x32"x28"(h) tank.. speaking about Gatf, Vatf or Armatus payara..

And approx how long before I would need to rehome it?

Thanks :)

If you want a perfect one for show case then just solo a GATF or VAFT with some dither, keep more than 1 AFT in same tank will result torn fin/tail most of the time, minus the alpha one that run the pack.
*I hate looking at damage fish but I guess that's just me.

Only one fish will be more then enough as it grows enormous and want to get as much growth potential as i can before need to be rehomed:) just dunno what will be its behaviour if being alone in tank..i would be bored to death, dunno how it goes with such fishes ;)

If you want a glass banging fish them AFT is not your fish, it's boring to me after 1.5 year and even at 15 inches its still skittish like I first got it at 3 inches and don't have personality compare to those cichlid predators...Might be other members have longer experiences with ATF will have different feeling about them.

Great info, thanks Yuki :) definetely dont want another Silver dollar case..it was damn awful, banging all the time something moved near tank.. so there will probably be tatauaia in community tank..saw some success with it

1 inch a month is slow? What is a fast growing fish capable of?

Yea 1'' is slow compared to 3'' per month TSN or silver arowana can push that.
I read story fish pushing more than that in prfect Set-UP
