is there any reason i should have more than one size of bio balls in my filter? im useing the standard blue ones i bought in bulk from bigalsonline.com
does having different sizes do anything?
i cant see bacteria caring what size of bio ball they stay on...
Smallest ones allow you to pack more into a given space, but I prefer to mix other media with them to take up the space and get more surface area per allotted space.
i vote lil plastic army men mixed with whatever you have.. cut the "stand" part off though.. the flat are is sorta wasted space
someone mentioned this a long time ago before i joined... and a week ago me and the family were out playin minigolf and we ended up in the arcade.. which resulted in skiball... which then lead to those lil tickets which lead us to the crappy toy counter... and my gfs kid refused to get 700 tickets worth of army men so i could put them in the fishtank (she wanted a glass unicorn or somethin covered in glitter)
