At what size do festae start being able to breed at? My small female of about 3 inch has claimed a cave and dug a pit, seems to be defending it from everyone including bichirs which so far no cichlid of mine has done. There is a flat rock inside of it, I can't tell if she laid eggs though.
This sucks lol I got fish based on an LFS owners diagnosis of my green Texas being male, but now my gtex is digging pits all over my bigger tank and this festae was supposed to be the first shot at breeding them. Now they are both females and both going into breeding mode for some reason. Lol at least it means I have good water for it
