Hi,

For my upcoming tank upgrade, I definately want to purchase 2 Endlis - Preferably, Congicus, but I'll also be content with normal Endlicherii.
Now the problem is, in Germany WC Endlicherii are very expensive here, and I don't have a job right now, so CB would be better for me (They cost about a third of WC here)
But, I know that CB sens don't reach the sizes of WC sens. For example mine is CB and 8".
Now my actual question: Does this also apply to P.Endlicherii? Because although a 14-16" Endli is of course a well-sized fish, the real monsters over 18" are those that really fascinate me.
Does anybody have info on this?
Thanks

Yes but what size can I expect a CB endli to reach?

i would say at most the low 20's maybe 22-23 best. But if you are limited on space you could go with 19-20. so basically 19"-23". But then again i haven't owned an endli but i can tell you they will get to a good size.

Thanks, 20" would be a very nice size. I do not want the fish to stay smaller because of tank size, I want them to grow to be real monsters :)

Sizes does not really depend if the fish is wild caught or captive breed. Although wild caught will have a potential to get larger but the biggest role that will help it growth is the owner of the fish itself. Even captive breed can reach to 20" or more. Depends on the genetics of the fish, high nutritional value foods, water changes, tank size and stress level also the competition of food on how much it eats. Even some wild caught that were started out as young age 12" or smaller might also grow to only 16-18" only depend on how the owners care for them.

Thanks King-El, you can be sure I will take good care of them!
So I'm quite settled on CB Endlis.. Now I just need the bigger tank before I buy them :)
