Size of sump?

I have a 135g with an fx5, emperor 400 and an eheim 2217 and a big sponge filter. Stock is average. Mostly CA cichlids with roselines and giant danios. I wanna do an overflow box on it. What size sump should I use? Also what filters should I take out and what should I leave in?

I would use the Emperor 400 for chemical and mechanical filtration and get rid of everything else. I wouldn't do a sump if I was you. Your filtration is fine.

the only reason why I wanna do an overflox is because of maintenance. It's a pain to maintain all the filters on it and I dont like seeing all the hoses.

anything above 30 gallons. Bigger is better.

Imo you could just run the fx5? hard plumb it and exact same look as your have with a sump.

as for maintenances... I find myself cleaning / maintaining my sumps much more the canisters.

I didn't know I can connect a sump to my fx5. Any link on how I can do that? I just wanna get rid of all the hoses and just have one power chord for my filters. Cause right now I have 4 (fx5, emperor, eheim, and the sponge)
