I'm gonna orer some freeze-dried bloodworms but I have no idea how long they will last...
The average weight of all of them is around an ounce..

but how long will an ounce last with a juvenile bluegill?

if you're kind enough to help me, can you check the height of your container the pellets/freezefried/etc. are in?

i can't go to any stores to check the size..on the internet the "ounce bottles" look like they're 7" tall..

im sure they dont cost much at all. why dont you just buy them and find out instead of wasting room on this forum?

Yikes, not quite the response i would like if i was unaware of the answer to the question i posted!! Anyway, your bluegill when acclimated should readily devour any prepared food,as these fish survive in and eat off of Nature.Don't waste your time/money with the planned large order of the bloodworms.Put some flakes in there,it'll be more than happy.

Ad Nauseum, the "ounces" your looking at are most likley freeze dried. The weight of freeze dried foods is GREATLY different then the weight of water bearing frozen foods.

thanks yakuza.
yeah i'm asking because i don't want to waste my money(including shipping fee) on something too small or too big for my bluegill.
well i try to get the bluegill i already have on floating flakes bu they don't seem to go for it..the topwater guppys do though.

anyways, i did get 2 bottles of some san francisco bloodworms..i wonder how big it is..
(i bought it since i had other things i needed to get online)

well i went to the petstore and checked out the san francisco brands..they were tiny! the hikari bloodworms were much bigger!

then i went home an a few minutes later fedex arrives with my package..
wow the SF bloodworms are huge!!! there must be millions in the 6" bottle!
