Size Question

For shot term if your raising a baby for maybe a year or two depending on how fast it grows, but not long term. I think a three foot wide tank is best but I know many who raise them in two foot wide tanks. My opinion is 360 gal that is three foot wide or bigger tank.

be careful when getting TWO arowana's for the more dominant one will harrass the less dominant. I recommend getting either one, or three +

you should get 3 arowanas instead of two they tend to fight when there are 2 3 they seem to co-exist also not feeding too much feeders will lower the chances of agression

yeah, a 125 is only a short term tank for any kind of aro, especially two, which by the way tend to fight.
Thanks,Im picking it up cheap off of CL but Im not positive how im going to stock it. I would like to make it a single or at the most two fish. Any ideas?

Save a little more money and make a long term investment. Get a 240 Gallon, that’s if you have the space. You and you fish will be a lot happier. Good luck.

Even for just 1 that tank isnt enough.an 18" wide tank suppose to house a 3ft long aro?
