im not sure if im in the right forum,
my red tail cat died today, its a foot and a half long, I want to preserve it ie alcohol or skeletonize. does anyone know how I can DIY this?

to preserve you would need to use formaldehyde as far as skeletonize many of the bones wouldn't stay you would have very little bones left

 No matter what you would be left with lot's of bones! I did this in College i boild o walleye and we had to make the skeloton just like a model look on the web to see if you can find a skeloton of a cat fish it took us time to build it but it look's pretty neet! they had put it on display for the one year!!

we use peroxide to bleach deer skulls. take it to a taxidermist and have it mounted they could also do the skull for u as well. and skin it and make a nice wallet
