i got a skilter filter pretty cheap and it works pretty good, but i get a lot of yellow water in the collection cup, how can i prevent this?

There are some DIY articles on the internet which show you how to increase the effeciency of the skilter. Adding an additional airpump and higher quality limewood airstone, you can get a dryer, froathier foam which produces more skimmate, less water.
