skimmate

I built a cheapo coke bottle protein skimmer. its working but its producing a very dry skimmate. I am assuming it is because the skimmate has to travel up the pipe a little ways and its losing moisture on the way up. anybody have any tips on how to get a wetter skimmate?

nevermind... once it got goin it started producing a wetter skimmate...

water level and amount of air will change all that.
