Hi,
Just put my Remora Pro hang on in my tank. The collection cup keeps filling up with foam/water. I have adjusted it to try to minimimize. I wanted to make sure that this is okay during the break-in and that all water should be dumped out that it collects in the cup.

your protine skimmer should be collecting foam (thats what a protien skimmer does, it generates sea foam. You will be getting some liquid in it as well, most likely from the liquid that is creating the outer shell of the bubble after it pops. Just let it run its course for a few days and keep emptying it, it will settle down and just churn out foam here soon.

How much liquid are you getting? It may be foaming too much if you are just getting clear tank water coming over the top.

I am getting all foam coming into the skimmer. It's just that it seems as it drop into the cup and converts to water that the cupp fills up very fast with water which in turn lowers the water in the tank over time.

you might need to raise it even higher if it doesn't subside in a few days.

+1 here although there is a definite break in period. It could take a week or more for the skimmer to start to stabilize and then you will be able to adjust it for good. The junk you should be getting should be a very dark liquid to paste and smell really bad. You optimally don't want the water the skimmer collects to be see through.

One thing about a really wet skimmate though is that it is pulling absolutely everything though.

I think it has stabalized some. I'm not getting much into the cup. The liquid is cloudy stuff but no paste yet. At least now, I'm not empting the cup several times an hour.

Well that is good news, it shouldn't flow that fast. You should just have to empty it every day or two.

Guess I haven't really thought of it that way Fleshy. I am a fan of wet skimmate though, just not so wet it's clear.
