hey i found two skinks around my house and now there in a 30 gal tub with a peice of slate to hide under and some pool filter sand for substrate, i dont have a heat lamp or rock but i put them out side for a couple hours in the sun light, with some shade spots

anyway i was wondering what i should feed them and how can i care for them?

thanks

I know I used to Catch them all the time but you might should let them go because they are wild and...they are used to so much space...But here is how to care for them...It depends on how big they are they can eat Crickets..put lots of Plants...in the tank...Pm me if you want to know more...I can help anytime

im feeding them crickets from my LFS and other bugs i find in my backyard

was tending on feeding them to my fish but there to awsome

Yeah I bet they are...I have two Anoles..but I wouldn't feedthem fish since they usually don't get them in the wild...And most foods have to be moving..

I think that's a good Idea...Since they were wild a 55 gallon is a good size. Yes I think they will love it...Also Skinks get big some can get 12''.

I think you should get at least some form of heat. They are cold blooded and if you are feeding them this could be bad for them to not have heat to help digest their food.
True Like Fish Their Temparature is the Same As the Enviroment Around them...and you can't let them get to cold.

i used to have an anole too bad here in maine our reptile variet is quite limeted

yeah i know i put them in my back yard in the sun for a couple hours everyday

when i set up the 55 im getting them a heat lamp and all that
