Hi I have 3.5 inch albino senegal bichir that is very skinny compared to my other albino poly which I got one week before. I'm pretty sure the 2 bichirs are siblings but one is bigger (at 4 inches) and "fatter" while the other one is skinnier and a bit smaller. Is this because the genders are different and one sex is bigger than the other one??? The weird thing is that my skinny bichir eats WAY more than my bigger bichir. Anyways i got both my Bichirs about 4 months ago but they seem very healthy and active. Even if my skinny bichir eats SO MUCH, it doesn't seem that he/she is getting fatter or growing.

Thanks

What??? Theres worms in my poor poly's stomach??? Holy crap!! I never suspected that??

Whoa, whoa. It's just one possible scenario. I always deworm my new fish as a general precaution just because internal parasites run rampant in the trade, but that doesn't automatically mean your fish has worms. It is said that albino sens are not the best at growing. For all we know your fish has a clean bill of health but weak genes. Get some good looks at his poop and watch for white strings or worms/redness around his anus.
